Carol Anderson Smith

Flute, Piccolo, Oboe, Bassoon, & Cello

A native of Maitland, Florida, Carol Anderson Smith holds a bachelors degree in music education from Florida State University. She also has masters degree in supervision & administration from Nova Southeastern University.

 

As a child, Carol began her adventures with music on the piano. She started playing the flute a few years later. She has studied flute with myriad of talented clinicians and is presently working with Les Roettges, Principle Flautist of the Jacksonville Symphony.

 

Carol has taught collegiate woodwind classes, middle school band, elementary music and general education, private lessons and has Orff certification, Levels 1, 2, 3.

 

As a seasoned music educator, she works with students learning flute, piccolo, oboe, violin, and cello.

 

Carol is the Director of the Camden County Community Band. She also is featured in pit orchestras as a string performer and a woodwind doubler.

 

Carol and her husband have two sons. Their oldest is enrolled at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and their youngest works with a construction firm in Jacksonville.
