Solomon Johnson

Piano & Conducting

Boston native Solomon Johnson earned his Bachelor of Music Education from Florida College in Temple Terrace, Florida.


He has studied piano with Benjamin Payne, Becky Barlar and Adam Boooher. His conducting instructors were Amy Thrift and Brian Rainwater. In addition Solomon has attended piano masterclasses with Dr. Diana Dumlavwalla, Tatiana Gorbunova, Andy Largimas and Dr. Judith Jain.


​During his time at Florida College, Solomon has received many prestigious awards including scholastic achievement in upper division music classes and piano. For all four years he was a Dean’s list scholar and maintains membership in Phi Theta Kappa and Alpha Chi honor societies.


Elementary school students can't hardly wait for music class at Emma Love Hardee School. "Mr. Johnson" always has a new instrument, game, song or current events connection in his engaging lesson plans! As a pianist, Solomon is very active as an accompanist with the Amelia Musical Playhouse, Amelia Community Theatre and Clevenger Creations. He also served as guest conductor for the Nassau Community Band and the Florida College Wind Ensemble.


When not indulging in music, Solomon enjoys being immersed in nature, going to the movies and adding to his library of musical scores.
